Cheque cashing
To pay transfer by cheque at the time of your appeal:
If you do not have a bank account in the UK or you would like to avoid the process of waiting for cheque cashing, UNIStream UK provides the possibility to pay transfer by cheque at the time of your appeal. Payment is carried out in GBP. The customer pays 2.50 pounds and 3% of the cheque amount for this service.
In order to cash a cheque the customer must bring:
- Document ID (valid passport or driver’s license);
- Proof of residence (bank statement, utility bill, etc. - not older than two months );
- Name and address of the company that issued the cheque;
- Contact phone of the company (landline).
If the company issuing the cheque has the status of «Alert» («Doubtful") then the client will be charged an additional fee of 1.50 GBP.
If the customer wishes to cash a cheque for the first time, the branch officer is obliged to take a picture of the customer to place in the customer file.
Cheques for amounts less than 1,000GBP, are cashed immediately.
Cheques for amounts larger than 1,000 GBP may be checked for up to 10 days. If more than ten days have passed since the cheque issue date then the cheque is subject to mandatory checking (up to 10 days).
If the company issuing the cheque is subject to the status «Alert» («Doubtful") then the customer will be charged with an additional fee of 1.50 GBP.
